Lakeshore Industries, Inc. was founded February 21, 2002 by Neil Collins and Renee Collins. Together Neil and Renee have over 50 years experience in audiovisual and remote control systems. The scope of the company has been on programming and supporting audiovisual systems that utilize AMX remote control products.

Projects range from custom home systems to the U.S. Army's III Corps state-of-the-art Mobile Command Post which provides fast, comprehensive, battlefield communications. The Tactical Command Post is a mobile, early entry, air deployable system for battlefield operations and is the first control center to deploy in an emergency.

Neil Collins
  Neil Collins has over 35 years experience in the delivery and control of audio, video and remote control signals over various cable types. After receiving an electronics certification in the 70's, Neil started his career with Spectradyne distributing A/V over coax RF for pay-per-view applications.

  Over the last 25 years, Neil has been programming and supporting AMX, Crestron & Extron control systems. As customer support manager at AMX Corp for seven years, he has been exposed to large systems containing virtually every signal used. After AMX, Neil was the backbone of starting and establishing Contemporary Research Corp.; a manufacturer of audio, video and remote control products.

  From production to customer support with various manufacturers, Neil has a diverse background in the design and troubleshooting of multi-signal systems.



Renee Collins
  Renee Collins has over 25 years experience working in the audiovisual industry. After receiving her BS in EET and a minor in Sound Recording and Reinforcement, Renee worked for Cibola Systems, an audiovisual dealer in CA. As a project engineer for Cibola Systems, Renee designed and supported audio/video and remote control systems utilizing AMX remote control products.

  Renee has various systems knowledge from building, installing and troubleshooting to training and supporting end-users with their systems. Moving to Dallas, Renee worked at AMX Corp for five years providing remote control system designs for dealers worldwide.

  Joining Contemporary Research in 1997, Renee was the marketing manager, project manager and sales support for five years. Currently Renee works for AMX by Harman Pro Audio in Richardson, TX as a customer service representative.
